    Providing children with the best possible start in life

    Since opening in 2002, The Old Station Nursery Faringdon has become a flagship of excellent nursery care in Oxfordshire.

    The Old Station Nursery Faringdon is truly a very special place. Housed in a beautiful, listed old railway station, the nursery has three dedicated rooms, where each child is provided with the opportunity to grow and excel into a confident learner. Our team’s high-quality care and dedication is also recognised by awards such as a Millie’s Mark, demonstrating extra commitment to paediatric first aid.

    Babies join the nursery in the 0–2-year-olds room, which is a comfortable space, with plenty of age-appropriate resources such as mirrors, musical instruments, and other toys to help them play and learn. Once babies become more confident, learning becomes more structured, in preparation for moving to the next room. Babies will then progress to one of the 2–3-year-olds rooms, with a variety of learning activities. We have a strong focus on engaging children in inquisitive play, and use natural resources to foster children’s knowledge and love for the environment.

    The nursery is located just outside the centre of Faringdon, within the listed station railway building, just off Park Road next to Tesco. The nursery also has its own parking area, for convenient pick up and drop off.

    AVAILABLE FUNDING

    Helping pay for your childcare

    Understandably, the cost of day nursery can put many familiesoff choosing it as an option. But there are a range of Government schemes open to parents that can make nursery affordable and we will do everything we can to help you understand the choices and access the funding that you might be eligible for.

    Tax-Free Childcare  – For working families earning under £100k and at least £131 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each who aren’t receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers.

    15 hours and 30 hours Funded Childcare  – For many working parents of 2 year olds, and 3 – 4 year olds for 38 weeks each year.
