Who we are
Supporting families who live or work near Heyford Park
The Old Station Nursery Heyford is the only setting in Heyford offering all-year-round childcare.
The nursery has three rooms with age-appropriate resources and activities, all with access to a large, secure garden space. Purposefully built for providing children with high-quality care, the nursery offers a warm, welcoming, and safe environment
Babies have their own comfortable room, where they can explore and develop at their own pace. The room includes soft play equipment, mirrors, musical instruments, and a variety of other toys to help them play and learn. Once ready, the babies progress to the Tots room, where activities become more structured, and there is plenty of opportunity for development in new areas of learning.

The Old Station Nursery Heyford can be found at the end of Camp Road. The setting is on the same side as the marketing suite, on the former airfield. There is a car park next to the nursery for convenient pick up and drop off.

"We have now been with this nursery for over a year and it has been a true delight. The staff have been very attentive since the beginning and our daughter started in Tots and has now progressed to Pre-School. During this period staff of both Tots and Pre-School have been brilliant and provided a warm, welcoming and educational environment for her to thrive within. In addition, the administration team of the nursery are very helpful and always happy to offer support with any queries we've had. All in all, I would highly recommend this to any other parents in the local area and if I could rate this higher, I gladly would!"

"Our son attends the preschool here and has really started to enjoy it. The staff are great at encouraging the children and have helped him feel a bit more confident (not very easy as he can be quiet in these sort of settings!) Staff are friendly and really seem to care about the children, they are happy to chat and update parents at the pick up time. I really like how they always try and get some time for the children outside too, they’re often out in the garden when I go to pick up my son and it’s lovely to see the children enjoying the space and fresh air! Can’t fault anything and really pleased we got a space here!"

"The Old Station Nursery Heyford has been fantastic for my daughter. She started in March 2022 in babies and is now in Tots. The staff are really amazing and keep you updated on anything that arises. My little girl is currently potty training and they have been so helpful with it all especially since I’m a first time mum and not sure what I’m doing most of the time. Their support has been great. Would not hesitate recommending to anyone!"

Helping pay for your childcare
Find out moreUnderstandably, the cost of day nursery can put many familiesoff choosing it as an option. But there are a range of Government schemes open to parents that can make nursery affordable and we will do everything we can to help you understand the choices and access the funding that you might be eligible for.
Tax-Free Childcare – For working families earning under £100k and at least £131 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each who aren’t receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers.
15 hours and 30 hours Funded Childcare – For many working parents of 2 year olds, and 3 – 4 year olds for 38 weeks each year.
