Apricot Nursery and Apricot Pre-school have officially been refurbished and rebranded as The Old Station Nursery St Neots and The Old Station Nursery Pre-school St Neots, marking an exciting new chapter for children, families, and the local community.
The nursery and pre-school have been part of the St Neots community since 1991 under the Sunhill brand and have been operated by The Old Station Nursery since 2020. This latest milestone brings the settings together under one shared Old Station Nursery identity, while remaining deeply connected to the local community they have served for more than three decades.
The refurbishment includes a full redecoration and new flooring throughout the nursery and pre-school, as well as new outdoor spaces for babies and toddlers to explore and enjoy the benefits of outdoor play. The settings have also introduced a Montessori-inspired Enhancement that supports children’s independence, confidence, and natural curiosity through hands-on, child-led learning experiences.
The move to The Old Station Nursery name reflects a wider journey taking place across the organisation, bringing nurseries together under one shared name, brand, and set of values and purpose.
While each nursery remains proudly local at heart, they are also part of a wider family of nurseries connected by a shared commitment to helping children, families, and teams grow and thrive.
The newly refurbished nursery and pre-school have been designed to feel brighter, warmer, and more welcoming, while remaining familiar to the children who learn and play there every day. Guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage and enriched through The Old Station Nursery’s bespoke curriculum, the All Aboard Approach, the carefully designed learning environments encourage curiosity, confidence, and discovery, with each day shaped around children’s interests and opportunities for meaningful play and real-life experiences.
Sarah Yates, The Old Station Nursery Operations Manager, said, “We’re delighted to begin this next chapter as The Old Station Nursery St Neots and The Old Station Nursery Pre-school St Neots.
While our name and appearance may have changed, our care, values, and commitment to children and families remain exactly the same. These improvements reflect our continued investment in creating inspiring environments where children can build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
We’re proud of what has been achieved here and excited to continue supporting local children and families for many years to come, helping every child thrive as part of a nursery community that is proudly local and connected to something bigger.”
