The report highlights that children “form secure relationships with key staff, who provide consistent care and support for their education.”

The nursery was awarded a ‘Good’ in all four inspection categories, including the quality of education. Inspectors noted, “Children make good progress in their learning and development because staff plan an engaging and well-sequenced curriculum. They engage in meaningful experiences that foster curiosity and independence.”

Each room, from babies to pre-school, features a ‘book of the month’, supporting children’s language development and love of stories. The report states, “Staff understand the importance of stories and song time in developing children’s communication and early literacy skills.”

Situated opposite Imjin Barracks, the nursery offers full and part-time care for children aged 0–5 in a purpose-built, eco-friendly setting. Outdoor play is central to the nursery’s ethos, with children regularly exploring the expansive garden, which includes a mud kitchen and vegetable patch. Ofsted observed, “Staff provide children with rich learning experiences outside in the fresh air. Preschool children use their imagination as they pretend to cook dragon pancakes around a campfire. They understand how to keep themselves safe, reminding others to stand back ‘because it is hot’.”

Nursery Manager Alex Taylor shared her pride in the report’s outcome: “I’m incredibly proud of our nursery’s progress. This reflects the dedication of our amazing team, who work tirelessly to create a nurturing and supportive environment for our children. We also have strong partnerships with families, ensuring regular communication through our app and in-person during handovers.”
